Final Friday People Powered Poetry featuring Santa Cruz Legendary Champion Queen Jasmeen 

Jasmine Schlafke is a creative consultant, poet, doula, mother and diversity trainer. While at Cabrillo College she studied Sociology, ran the Black Student Union, served as the diversity ambassador for the student senate and worked as a personal assistant for Julie Edwards; one of our Nations leading authorities on early childhood education. Today she is a lead coordinator for the Santa Cruz Legendary POETRY Slam, consults on diversity issues for the likes of Planned Parenthood, Santa Cruz County prison and juvenile hall as well as corporations like Nutiva Foods and Google. Her intention is to serve, speak and praise in everything she does.
