This is important for EVERYBODY who cares about the U.S. educational system and/or the environment!

The UC Regents are threatening the 247 acres of the natural land reserve on campus we know as the amazing redwood forest so that they can begin building new roads and facilities in the undeveloped upper campus.

This is drastic evidence of shifting values-we are trading quality of education for increasing quantity of students. This will not only impact fragile ecosystems that are unique to the WORLD, but it will also make Santa Cruz even more expensive and overcrowded. Housing, traffic, and water resources are already at a point of crisis.

And that’s only the beginning.
